The offshore oil and gas industry has been using floating production, storage and offloading systems, or FPSOs, since the mid 1970s. These facilities can offer significant advantages over fixed production platforms particularly in remote deepwater locations or where export pipelines are difficult to install or uneconomic to run.
This distance learning course examines the key components of FPSO technology and deployment, including FPSO design, systems development, subsea engineering, operations and economics for the development and management of FPSOs.
